Mmmm....Coffee

*Bows before altar where Mr. Coffee is kept* I am but a humble caffeine supplicant, holding an empty alms cup, waiting for the damn brew cycle to end.

Not that I have a coffee jones or anything. This morning it's coffee with a bit of chipotle, cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla and powdered milk. Delicious. This recipe was served to me in a Mexican restaurant one morning at breakfast. A real Mexican restaurant, where laborers begin their day, not a Fauxican restaurant where yuppies end theirs.

You're not addicted, are you? Put down that cup and comment.

  4. Dude even though I am the greatest Yankee fan in the world you got to throw that Mr. Coffee in the freakin' garbage. Go to the nearest old school store you can find and get yourself a Faberware percolater. Old school with the basket on the stick and the electric cord and the works. I drink appoximately ten cups of coffee a day and this makes all the differance. When I first put it in the store, my employees bitched about cleaning it all but once they started drinking it they all went out and bought one themselves.

Faberware, dude trust me that is the way to go!

  5. Trooper, thanks. When Mr. Coffee is ready for retirement I'll look into the Faberware coffer pot. Sounds Faberlous!

  6. Even Trooper can learn new tricks. Try a Hamilton-Beech Brewstation. The Wallmart price is $39. This keeps the coffee from going stale and you get a cup out one handed like using a soda fountain. My only secret to good coffee is buying good stuff, like Caribou Sumatra.

  7. I thought you were a traditional guy, traditional guy.

I stick with the old school. We have two bathrooms in our house. The upstairs one the wife stocks with all the latest remendys and stuff. But the downstairs one is wear I put all the old school stuff my grandmother used to use. Briosci, cod liver oil, flax seeds, mecurichrome, Pepto-Bismal, Bayer asiprin, St Joseph's childrens asiprin, Buckleys cough surup, caster oil, Vicks Vapor rub, Ex-lax and witch hazel. When all the new stuff doesn't cut it I give her some of the old fashioned stuff and it fixes it right up.
